Abstract
In this paper, an aspect of the national discourse of the early twentieth century in the territory of Tacna and Arica, in its sovereignty dispute between Chile and Peru, is analyzed. The corpus of the analysis focuses on what we have called ' frontier magazines' speech addressing these magazines in relation to their social conditions of production aimed at finding the traces be no longer in the discursive field. This will seek to identify the Chilean national imaginary and discursive hegemony at that time and context.
