El poder del narrador y el asesino superhombre en El hombre que había olvidado de Carlos Droguett

Abstract

Carlos Droguett es conocido por ser uno de los primeros escritores chilenos que trabajó el método de la Corriente de Consciencia. Junto a Manuel Rojas y otros novelistas, dedicaron sus páginas a desarrollar personajes altamente trabajados, quienes a través de este procedimiento, que implica técnicas como el monólogo interior, logran transmitir al lector su mundo interno, y desde allí, mostrar la realidad vista desde su experiencia; manifestando un sentido existencial de la vida y la necesidad de trascendencia. En este estudio, intentaré analizar la voz del narradorautor protagonista de la obra El hombre que había olvidado (1968), con la intención de analizar su visión de mundo, los testimonios que narra y la insistencia de este por hallar en la figura del asesino la de un héroe, marcado evidentemente por un intertexto mesiánico, pero que sin embargo, deja un mensaje Nietzscheano: la superación del hombre.

Carlos Droguett is known for being one of the firsts chilean writers that worked with the Stream of consciousness method. Along with Manuel Rojas and other novelists, they dedicated their pages in developing characters highly worked, who thorugh this procedure, that involve techniques such as the interior monologue, convey to the reader their internal world, and from there, show the reality seen from their experience; manifesting an existencial sense of life and the necessity of transcendence. In this study, I will try to analyze the voice of the narrator-author protagonist of the novel El hombre que había olvidado (1968), with the intention to analyze his world vision, the testimonies that he narrates and his insistence on finding in the figure of the assassin a hero, obviously marked by a messianic intertext, but that nevertheless, leaves a Nietzschean message: the overcoming of man.
