Cuestionario de simulación en reanimación neonatal: validación del instrumento

Abstract

Introducción: Dada la importancia de la simulación en reanimación neonatal, se vuelve necesario el desarrollo de herramientas válidas para evaluar a los participantes, al escenario y a los instructores para lograr una mejor formación en este ámbito y crear una experiencia educativa integrativa y basada en el trabajo en equipo. Objetivos: Validar el constructo del Cuestionario de Simulación en Reanimación Neonatal (CSRN) aplicado a estudiantes de una carrera de pregrado. Material y Método: Posterior a la traducción, evaluación de expertos, pilotaje y confección de la versión final del instrumento, se aplicó el CSRN a 82 estudiantes de Obstetricia de la Universidad de Chile, pertenecientes a tercer y quinto nivel durante el año 2017. Para su validez, se realizó un análisis factorial exploratorio con el método de Factorización de Ejes Principales (MEP), por otra parte, su fiabilidad se determinó evaluando su consistencia interna mediante el Alfa de Cronbach para el total de la escala. Resultados: El análisis factorial exploratorio se mostró adecuado para el instrumento: Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) de 0,925 y esfericidad de Bartlett con p < 0,001. Se determinaron cuatro factores: Satisfacción, Autoconfianza, Habilidades y Conocimientos, por último, Rol y Responsabilidad. El Alfa de Cronbach para toda la escala con 26 ítems fue de 0,972; mientras que sus dimensiones obtuvieron valores de 0,953; 0,940; 0,915 y 0,880 respectivamente. Conclusiones: Los resultados confirman que el CSRN es un instrumento válido y fiable para evaluar la simulación como forma de aprendizaje en talleres de reanimación neonatal.

Introduction: Given the importance of simulation in neonatal resuscitation, it becomes necessary to develop valid tools to assess the participants, the scenario and the instructors to achieve better training in this field and create an integrative and work-based educational experience, team up based. Objectives: To validate the construct of the Neonatal Resuscitation Simulation Questionnaire (NSQR) applied to undergraduate students. Material and Method: After the translation, evaluation of experts, piloting and preparation of the final version of the instrument, the CSRN was applied to 82 Midwifery students from Universidad de Chile, belonging to the third and fifth levels during the year 2017. For its validity, an exploratory factor analysis was carried out with the Principal Axis Factorization method (MEP), on the other hand, its reliability was determined by evaluating its internal consistency using Cronbach's Alpha for the entire scale. Results: The exploratory factor analysis was adequate for the instrument: Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) of 0.925 and Bartlett's sphericity with p < 0.001. Four factors were determined: Satisfaction, Self-confidence, Skills and Knowledge, and finally, Role and Responsibility. Cronbach's Alpha for the entire scale with 26 items was 0.972, while its dimensions obtained values of 0.953, 0.940, 0.915 and 0.880, respectively. Conclusions: The results confirm that the CSRN is a valid and reliable instrument to evaluate simulation as a form of learning in resuscitation workshops.
