Abstract

Esta tesis busca rastrear el motivo gótico en las novelas Emily the Strange: Los días perdidos y Emily the Strange: Cada vez más extraña. Se describen los diferentes términos del gótico; se contextualiza el surgimiento de las novelas y su relación con la comercialización; se emplean elementos de teoría literaria para realizar el análisis, aquellos son: motivo, parodia y multimodalidad.

This thesis aims to explore the gothic motif in the novels Emily the Strange: The Lost Days and Emily the Strange: Stranger and Stranger. It describes the different terms associated with the gothic; contextualizes the emergence of the novels and their relationship with commercialization; employs elements of literary theory to conduct the analysis, these elements are: motif, parody, and multimodality.
