Introduction: The drug prescription phase is one of the stages of the pharmacotherapeutic process where most mistakes are made. Several international health institutions recommend the Medication Order Review as a standard of health care, which is a tool to detect these errors. Main Objective: To implement a pilot system of Medication Order Review in Pharmacy Service of the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile. Materials and methods: For four months, a pilot project was developed from the Pharmacy Service to validate the pharmacological treatment and recipes of patients belonging to a certain clinical service daily. To do this, several validation criteria cited in the literature were compared with the purpose of establishing those to be used in this work. A validation form was prepared for the application of these criteria and the registration of clinical and pharmacological data of the patients analyzed from the information contained in the electronic medical record. Results: The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service was selected. The treatments of 100 patients were reviewed and 712 recipes validated. 271 administrative disconformities were detected, being the main one the request for an incorrect amount of multi-dose drug (56%). Among the 48 pharmacotherapeutic disconformities, the predominant ones were: drug-drug interaction (40%) and unnecessary medication (21%). A total of 320 interventions were performed. A significant and sustained decrease in validation times during the study was evidenced. Conclusion: The validation system implemented generated a positive clinical-assistance impact through the detection of disconformities and the development of respective interventions. This study sets the conceptual and methodological bases for more complex studies...

This research focuses on the innovation of teaching strategies that include ICTs and active methodologies in higher education, in order to favor the protagonist elevation of the student in his self-training process. The objective of the study is to understand the learning experience in Flipped Classroom mode and the use of ICTs from the perception of the students of the Biomedical Information Reports course of the Biomedical IT career at Duoc UC Valparaíso, 2018. The methodology used is framed in a more qualitative approach and the most appropriate type of research method is Case Study. The study population is made up of third-year students of the Biomedical Informatics career who take the Biomedical Information Reports course at Duoc UC Valparaíso campus during the second semester of 2018. The information was collected using two instruments: Self-applied questionnaire with Likert scale and Group interviews. The analysis of the data of the questionnaire was carried out through descriptive statistics and the data of the interviews through content analysis in narrative mode, in which units of meaning were determined and a categorization system was constructed that complies with the principles proposed by Rodríguez (1996). The results show that the learning experience in Flipped Classroom mode is positively valued by the students, since the teaching strategy allows flexibility in the delivery of the contents of the course and it has intentional activities to apply said contents, which translates as beneficial for the meaningful learning process. Also, the self-learning capacity of the students is fostered, since skills related to the self-management of the times are developed, as well as the commitment and responsibility to work autonomously and efficiently in favor of their learning. The experience with the use of ICTs was highly valued by the students, generating spaces for dynamic, flexible and collaborative learning. However, it is a necessary condition that there is a motivation and initiative of the participants in the use of educational technologies to be considered useful. Also, the results indicate that the role of the teacher with ICTs is to be competent and precursor in the use of these during the teaching-learning process of the students....
