The aim of this investigation is to assess the technical and economical a pre-feasibility level to export a natural organic fungicide-bactericide called “Biofita” to the Colombian flower-growing market. It has been made an analysis of the industrial estate, a legal study, a technical and financial-economic management study following traditional procedures of the projects formulation and an evaluation, considering the main information from Chilean and Colombian market. The Colombian flower-growing market is the target of the exportation project, because globally. It represents the 12 % of the exportations of cut flowers. With this, Colombia has won the second place in cut flower exportations versus Chile, which take the 47th place. The close competitors of this product are more than forty formulations used as fungicide-botriticide from different countries, considerably tested and always present in phytosanitary programs of Colombian flower producers. The differential element is that the product has an organic character on its raw materials and the associate bio-stimulate action, giving a higher condition compared to other products present on the market and with these characteristics there is an option to take an important place in this Colombian production of cut flowers, which need more efficient organic products to control pathogens and also allow the continuance of the manual labor in the cultivation without threatening the health of workers. On the other hand, legal regulations that rules the exportation and the subsequent sale of the product in Colombia suggests the chance to have at least two years period to start up, because of that it was considered a holding period of seven years, the first two years to study the Colombian regulations and the last five years to market the “Biofita”. The discount rate (15%) required was the profitability needed to start the business based on another Chilean exporting company. Project results, indicate that exists a possible space for the penetration of “Biofita” from a technical and commercial point of view in the Colombian market also, under the assumptions and parameters used in the study, generating a positive net present value (VAN=US $223.448), an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 28%, a payback period of the capital from six to seven years and considering a reasonable risk, done under a sensitivity analysis with estimated sales decreased in a 10% and the increasing of the costs of the active ingredient in a 20%....
